Tax evasion is generally considered a problem in developing countries, but even in countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom, tax evasion by large corporations and dignitaries is commonplace.

A report by the international financial magazine Bloomberg has revealed that the US e-commerce giant Amazon has not paid taxes on billions of dollars from the European market in 2021.

According to the report, last year saw an increase in Amazon's European business. The company sold about 55 55 billion this year, but did not pay for the practice.

In the tax returns submitted by Amazon, the company not only showed a loss of 1.26 billion, but also earned  1 billion in eurotex credit.

Amazon European unit, based in Luxembourg, reported profits in its division reports in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Sweden and the Netherlands, while its sales in 2021 were reported, according to the report. There was also an increase of 17%.

A spokesman for Amazon told Bloomberg that "across Europe we pay millions of euros in corporate taxes." He said that income, profit and taxes are reported to the concerned authorities of each country.

The company says the loss on tax returns is the same as last year when more than 50 new sites opened in the region.
